Your photos belong to you.

Private storage in the EU, access for the event’s guests only and automatic deletion 90 days after the reveal. This is how Filmriss handles your event photos, without the legalese.

Visibility

Who sees what. And when.

From the shutter click to deletion, a photo goes through four phases. Nobody gets to see it before anyone else.

  1. When you shoot

    Nobody.

    No preview, not even for you. The picture goes straight onto the sealed film.

  2. Overnight

    Sealed.

    Before the reveal the server won’t hand out a single picture. Not to guests, not to the host, not to you.

    Everyone at the event.

    The gallery opens for everyone at once, usually the morning after. It never goes public.

    All of the event’s photos are deleted automatically, the files as well as the records.

1 The host can also keep the gallery entirely to themselves. Then guests don’t see it.

Storage

Stored in the EU.

Where?
Photos are kept in storage located in the EU.
Public?
No. Galleries are only for people who took part in the event, and they don’t show up in search engines.
Permissions?
Filmriss only asks for the camera. Not the microphone, not your location. No location data is collected.
Quality?
You get the originals, exactly as the camera took them: not downsized and not recompressed.

What we need to know about you.

As a guest

  • Your nameSo the others can see who took a picture.

As a host

Deletion

Nothing gets left lying around.

Download your favourite pictures in time. After that they’re gone from Filmriss for good.

  1. Automatically after 90 days

    90 days after the reveal, Filmriss deletes all of an event’s photos. You don’t have to do a thing.

  2. Sooner, if the host wants

    If the host deletes their event, all photos and the cover image go with it.

  3. With your account

    Anyone who has an account in the app and deletes it takes everything along: their own events with all photos, and their own pictures in other people’s events.

Single photos can’t be deleted before the reveal. That’s on purpose: every shot counts, and none of them disappears early.
